Schools with Nontraditional Student Support
Weber State University has a Nontraditional Student Social Support group on Meetup.com. You can sign up and see special events, (scroll down), other members, a message board, and more. I joined here to find out more about the group. The University also has a special Nontraditional Student page here that explains about their Hourly Childcare Center and Nontraditional Student Center that (from the site):
"...has a lounge, kitchen, computer lab, study area, and Hourly Childcare Center to help meet the needs of students who are over 25, and/or married/divorced/widowed, a parent, a veteran, and/or disabled. The center provides free hot drinks daily. Peer mentors are available to help navigate the campus. The mentors plan free events for students to help make the most of their educational experiences at WSU while still balancing family, home, and work."

ASUU at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City has a Nontraditional Student Outreach Board. From their site: "We provide programs and resources that help make student life easier and more enjoyable for non-traditional students." You can find out more here. They celebrate Nontraditional Student Week and also have a Thanksgiving Bowling Event, plus some helpful links like Returning to the U, the Women's Resource Center, the Veteran's Services Office,and Alpha Sigma Lambda, which is a national honor society just for nontraditional students.
They have an honors ceremony called the Lighthouse Ceremony to honor chosen nontraditional students too. This sounds great! Just scroll down at this page to see the latest photo of honorees.
During Nontraditional Student Outreach Week, nontraditional students were treated to new events, including a massage day and information and activities. See the article from the Daily Utah Chronicle to find out more.
The University of Utah offers a nontraditional student scholarship for undergraduate and graduate students on the Women's Resource Center page. Scroll down to see many more scholarship offerings.
We are currently compiling a list for students so that everyone
will be able to join a Non-traditional student group when they
go back to school, and also access quality scholarship and grant information.

group or for your information. The group may be part of a GED program, a Trade School Program, a College Program, or a University Program. The information may be for college, University, trade school, or GED information or financial aid.
