Here are some older links and information about Nontraditional Student support in this state. There may still be some clues here to help you find help and support at your school. Please pardon any links that no longer work. They will soon be deleted or fixed this year (2015).

Georgia Perimeter College has a page explaining how seniors 62 and over can attend college for FREE tuition. You can find out more here.

A student at the school, Stella Xu, explains that there are many nontraditional students attending college here.

This school has many different locations.

The College of Coastal Georgia has a webpage telling about their Non-Traditional Students Association. From the website page:

"The Non-Traditional Students Association usually meets from 12:20 to 1:15 PM on the second Thursday of the month in SB 283C. The meetings focus on topics chosen by the members of the association to address the unique circumstances and challenges of students who had a hiatus between high school and college, who have to work part or full time to maintain a family, and who are striving to do well in their courses."

Scholarships in Georgia for Nontraditional Students

Here are some more quality, free resources for Georgia that can help nontraditional student in their quest for funding.

Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia has special scholarships just for nontraditional students listed here.

Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia, has a special Black and Gold Experience just for nontraditional students. This is an informational session followed by a tour of the campus. Find out more: Kennesaw State University Nontraditional Student page. Kennesaw State also received an ANTSHE award in 2010.

Columbus Technical College in Columbus, Georgia, has Financial assistance or referral, Outreach support,, and Career advisement for nontraditional students on this page.

Nontraditional student now can qualify for the HOPE scholarship after their Freshman or Sophomore year. Click here to see the official page.
