THE NON-TRADITIONAL STUDENT F.A.Q.

(frequently asked questions)

WHAT IS A NON-TRADITIONAL STUDENT?

Usually, a non-traditional student is an older student - perhaps over 21, perhaps is married or is somebody who has taken a break and wants to go back to school now.

Here, on this website, a non-traditional student is anyone who feels non-traditional, regardless of age.

THERE ARE DIFFERENT KINDS OF NON-TRADITIONAL STUDENTS...

Some non-traditional students are getting their GED before trying for a better job. Some are taking a course online or attending school at home.

Some are attending college. One thing is for sure: Non-traditional students are a vibrant and growing group. And they have their work cut out for them!

MORE NONTRADS ARE ATTENDING SCHOOL NOW THAN EVER BEFORE...

Many colleges, universities, and other schools are realizing that more and more nontraditional students are part of their student population, and have started offering a lot more assistance and information. Some schools offer clubs, club rooms, scholarships, special registration sessions, day care, housing, and special help for all nontraditional students now.

You can go to your state page here on the website to find out more about what schools in your state or country offer to nontraditional students.

THE PURPOSE OF THIS SITE:

This site is dedicated to helping each non-traditional student find information, connection, and motivation to acheive his or her educational goals.
