ARCHIVES
I have archived some things from January through April of 2008 here. I plan to do them monthly from now on. Here are some highlights I have kept from this year:

May, 2008:

Tennessee State University (Nashville) has a special Nontraditional Student Scholarship available here: http://www.tnstate.edu/nontraditionalapp/The campus at Avon Williams has a special page just for nontraditional students online that tells all about non-traditional student activities. They also have special nontraditional student registration.

The University of Tennessee at Knoxville celebrated Nontraditional Student Week in 2007.

Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro has an OWLS group.

Plus, they have a special Adult Learning Conference in February each year.

NEW - Austin Peay State University at Clarksville, Tennessee offers a special Student Counseling Service. This includes a support group and a special workshop just for non-traditional students.

Subjects for the workshop include Management Tips, Study Skills, Technology, and building a support network. Nontraditional students can contact the counseling and testing center at (931) 221-6162 for more information (or just click the link, above.)

MORE GOOD NEWS: You can also download workshops on PowerPoint from this site.

This is a good resource for non-traditional students everywhere, because the free downloads include:

1. Stress Management

2. Test Anxiety

3. Money and Time Management

You can download these FREE resources here. And, if you do not have a PowerPoint reader, you can download one here at the Microsoft free download area.

PREVIOUS MONTHS:

Announcement! I am truly honored that this site and the Non-trad Student Blog site have both been listed in the Tulane University Student Newsletter this month. They feature a story about a non-traditional student named Samson Dantin. You can read his story here.

New Ohio information: the Know How to Go website has linked to us this month. This non-profit website has a special page for non-traditional students that explains their special needs. You can sign up for more information, and also learn about what kinds of schools to apply for, along with much more on their website at http://www.knowhow2goohio.org/. I have saved these two links on the Ohio Page today.

Michigan Info: I have listed some Michigan groups here on the Michigan Page, and also on the Nontrads blog for this month. I see many pages in Michigan made to help non-traditional students.

I especially liked one Nontraditional Student group called O.W.L.S. (older and wiser law students). I like that name , OWLS. It would be easy to make a mascot for that group!

There need to be more non-trad group pages online. If you live in Michigan, and have a Non-traditional group web page, add your page here to get it listed.

NEW! 12-14-07: Go to the Articles page to read theYahoo story about

JOE NAMATH - Non-traditional student!
