The Non-traditional Student site - stories, advice, links, and more!

The Nontraditional Student site - providing help and support for all nontrad students.

KNOW HOW TO GO: This great site tells people from Washington State, Kentucky, California, Montana, Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, Connecticut, and Florida the 4 steps to going to college, including local links. I am featuring this site here this month. Other states can find information on the main page of the site. I have the feeling other states will follow suit and add their local pages to this site soon.

A hint: turn down your volume if you want - - some of the pages feature a talking person explaining the website. For an example of the state pages, you can check out the the Kentucky Know How 2 Go page.

QUESTION #1: What IS a nontraditional student?

A nontraditional student is a student who is going back to school after a break. Often, a nontraditional student is older. Also, a nontraditional student might have a family or a job.

Are you a nontraditional student? Or are you thinking about it? Maybe you know a nontraditional student. You also might be on support staff at a high school, trade school, or college. Whatever kind of student or helper you are, or whether you are a nontraditional student or not,

WELCOME! to the Nontraditional Student website.

You can find out about scholarships, national nontraditional student groups, how to get motivated, study skills, and more here.

You can get support and find out whether you want to become a nontraditional student (a nontrad) later, too.

COMING SOON: My pages about going back to high school. Be watching for them!

Is this the year YOU go back to school?
